Local artists will take centre stage at the Geraldton Regional Art Gallery (GRAG) this month with the unveiling of two exciting new exhibitions celebrating the creativity and diversity of the Midwest arts scene.
Highlighting the region's thriving creative sector, the Mid West Arts Members Exhibition 2026 is an open-themed showcase featuring works by both emerging and established artists.
Curated by the renowned Wiggy Mitsuda, Radical Futures: Bold Intentions explores community, Country and the future through a range of engaging mixed-media works.
City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Jerry Clune said the exhibitions were a testament to the depth of the region’s artistic talent.
"We are fortunate to have such an outstanding gallery here in Geraldton that provides a platform for our artists to share their creativity," he said.
"Exhibitions showcasing local talent are always inspiring and offer both residents and visitors a unique opportunity to engage with the stories, perspectives and experiences that shape our region.
"I encourage everyone to come along, support our home-grown artists and experience these remarkable exhibitions while they are on display."
Both exhibitions will officially open with a gala event on Friday 25 September 2026 from 6 – 8pm.

The exhibitions will be on display from Saturday 26 September to Sunday 22 November 2026.
The Mid West Arts Members Program is a GRAG initiative to provide artists in the Midwest with an avenue to be involved with the Gallery.
