Tours and Activities

At GRAG, we welcome community and school group visits! With a diverse exhibition program, and programs throughout the year, we encourage our visitors to engage with the various themes and subject matter from a range of touring and local exhibitions.

Exhibition Activities

Each exhibition has activities which complement the exhibition. This often includes an Opening Night, Artist or Curator Talk or Panel, and Workshops throughout the exhibition period. GRAG also provides specific activities for young people during the school holidays. Please check with the GRAG team to confirm which activities are coming up, or check our Humanitix for more information on upcoming events.

Guided Tours

The GRAG hosts free guided tours, that provide classes of all sizes a unique Insite into the gallery's current exhibitions. Our guided tours let participants explore current exhibitions and encourage critical thinking. Led by GRAG staff, students are encouraged to ask questions and start conversations!

GRAG Guided Tours times: 20 – 30 mins approx. (times my vary with group size)

Activity and Guided Tours

The GRAG offers free excursions that include a guided tour, plus an activity, and provide classes of all sizes a unique insight into the gallery's current exhibitions. Our activity’s change each set of exhibitions, and can be tailored to each class, dependent on notice provided.

Self-Guided Tours

Groups are welcome to host their own self-guided tours and visits during the GRAG opening hours. GRAG is open to the public seven days a week. Opening hours change from 1 July – 30 September, please check the website for current opening hours. 1 October – 30 June: 9am – 4pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and 9.30am – 1.30pm Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.
Please note: it is appreciated for larger groups to inform the gallery of self-guided tour.

Please note: all excursions will need to be booked at least 3 weeks in advance, to ensure venue and staff availability.
