My process often involves returning to the same outdoor location to observe and respond to how the landscape shifts with light, weather, and season. I favour expressive brushwork and raw, visible marks over precision, aiming to capture the feeling or mood of a place rather than a perfect likeness. My paintings are layered with bold colour choices and gestural lines that suggest rather than define, offering a vibrant and intuitive response to the world around me.

I’m a painter and mixed media artist. Though known for my Abrolhos Island paintings and junk art, I’m most interested in exploring what feels meaningful. Social justice, activism, local historical truths and maritime history all inspire and motivate me.
