A powerful celebration of family, connection, history and the enduring passion of belonging to culture and the land.
Badimia on Country brings together artists from the Wirnda Barna Art Centre based in Mount Magnet, approximately 340km east of Geraldton. Through visual art, storytelling and cultural expression, each Artist’s work honours the strength of heritage and the responsibility of carrying culture forward.
Country is more than a place. It encompasses family and story, ancestry and living memory. Country refers to the deep and unbreakable connection between people, culture and the land that has sustained generations.
Badimia on Country highlights the resilience, creativity and strength of Badimia people, reaffirming that culture is not confined to the past. It is alive, evolving and deeply rooted in connection.
“This exhibition reminds us that Country lives within us. Country means family, connections, history and the passion for belonging to culture and background of the land.”
