Hot on the heels of Big Sky Writers Festival, GRAG is very excited to host West Australian Author/Illustrator Briony Stewart for a series of creative workshops this school holidays. Places are limited, so be sure to RSVP to secure your spot!

If you love writing and drawing then sharpen your pencils for a morning of word-weaving, brain-storming and character creation. In this workshop Briony will show you all of her sneaky tips and tricks for creating interesting writing and illustrations as you develop words and drawings that will also have the chance to feature in a beautiful illustrated book!

From scribbly skies to moody metropolises, have you ever wondered how illustrators create the spaces and places of stories? Join Briony for a fun illustration workshop of painting experiments, and drawing techniques. Help to create some book-worthy story landscapes and vital visual details that will feature in a beautiful illustrated book!

More about Briony
Briony Stewart is the author and illustrator of several award-winning books for children, including Kumiko and the Shadow Catchers, winner of the 2012 Queensland State Literature prize for children’s fiction. Briony lectures on children’s literature at university and conducts talks and workshops with children across Australia. She loves live drawing challenges, day dreaming and discussing dragons, bunnies and how to tame lions.
