Published on Tuesday, 13 February 2024 at 9:40:10 AM

As the warm weather continues the heat is also set to rise at Geraldton Regional Art Gallery (GRAG) with the presentation of Some Like it Hot.

Showcasing the work of renowned Northern Territory artists Therese Ritchie and Franck Gohier, Some Like it Hot explores sweat, desire and discord in Darwin.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Jerry Clune is looking forward to seeing the first new GRAG exhibition for 2024.

“I am always excited to see what is on offer at the Gallery and this exhibition is no exception,” he said.

“Darwin is a captivating part of our country and this collection of artworks from such a lauded duo of artists is sure to provide an interesting perspective on Australia’s most tropical capital city.

“I urge everyone to come and check out this fascinating representation of life in the Top End.”

Some Like it Hot is an Artback NT touring exhibition presented by the Northern Territory Government, Australia Council for the Arts, the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries as well as Lotterywest and is available to view between Saturday 24 February – Sunday 14 April.

Some Like it Hot will officially open alongside another exhibition, Dancer, on Friday 23 February and is available to view from Saturday 17 February. Tickets for the opening night are available via Humanitix.
