Stations of the Cross 2017

Published on Friday, 26 May 2017 at 3:01:00 PM

Every year fifteen artists are invited to respond to the traditional Easter story known as Stations of the Cross. The challenge put to each artist is to draw on their own personal understanding of the meaning of Easter and share their thoughts and ideas in a newly created artwork. The result is a unique and powerful exhibition comprised of a fascinating collection of visual interpretations that tackle some of the most complex aspects of the human condition; namely the journey of life and death that lie at the heart of Easter.

Curated this year by Claire Bushby, the Stations of the Cross Art Exhibition provides an opportunity for the public to see artwork by some of Western Australia's leading contemporary artists and emerging artists.
