Explore the role of a curator in curating and coordinating a solo or group visual arts exhibition in this free workshop presented by Olivia Nichols, the Exhibitions Touring Officer from Art On The Move.

Learn about the various modes of the curator role and become familiar with the process of developing a curatorial concept, selecting artists and artworks, and designing exhibition layouts and artwork installation. Understand the importance of producing a concise exhibition synopsis and exhibition collateral.

Olivia Nichols is an emerging Curator and Exhibition Designer, she graduated from Curtin in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts (Interior Architecture), Honours (First Class). She has completed a three month internship at the Peggy Guggenheim Collections in Venice, Italy and has worked to coordinate and deliver two previous Hatched National Graduate Shows at PICA, and this year took on the role of Hatched 2017 Curator.
